Today we’ll learn a very useful phrase for daily life: Moadto ko …
Moadto ko means “I’m going” or “I’m going to …” You use it when you talk about going somewhere.
Here are common everyday examples:
Moadto ko sa merkado.
I’m going to the market.
Moadto ko sa mall.
I’m going to the mall.
Moadto ko sa tindahan.
I’m going to the shop.
Moadto ko sa restawran.
I’m going to the restaurant.
Moadto ko sa balay.
I’m going to the house / I’m going home.
Quick notes to understand the parts:
Adto is the root form of the verb meaning go.
Mo- is a prefix that often shows a planned or future action, so moadto is “will go / going to go.”
Ko means I.
Sa is used before places and locations.
So the structure is:
Moadto + ko + sa + place
Now, say it loud:
Moadto ko sa tindahan.
Moadto ko sa balay.
